Artwork

If you are supplying your own artwork there are several things to bear in mind: images, background colours and fills that are intended to print to the trimmed edge of the page should extend 3mm beyond the pageĀ  - known as bleed (to allow for tolerances in the cutting process).

File Formats
The ideal file format to save your documents in is: PDF (we offer a treflight check on PDF files, see below). We can also accept JPEG, TIFF and EPS files (depending on how we intend to print your work - please ask).

Your documents can be supplied on CD, DVD, and memory stick or via email. We also accept files in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw formats. As well as files from Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Don’t forget to include ‘bleed’ and ‘crop marks’. All fonts must be converted to outlines/curves if possible.

Remember

  • All documents / files should be supplied at 300dpi or higher and ideally should be in PDF format.
  • Convert Spot and RGB Colours to CMYK values on full colour jobs.
  • When converting your artwork to PDF format, remember to ‘tick’ the ‘use document bleed settings’, even though you have created your document with ‘bleed’ or your PDF will not save the bleed.

We offer a preflight check if you choose this option. Unless you choose this option we will print exactly what you submit. IF YOU HAVE ANY DOUBTS OR QUESTIONS PLEASE CALL US FOR ADVICE.

Disclaimer: Due to natural variations in the printing process we cannot guarantee a 100% colour match.
